Maxi-pain

Ah, Monday morning…I got back into the gym today for the first time in weeks…4:45AM comes MIGHTY early. I wasn’t expecting to be bitch slapped by my own out-of-shapeness.

I caught wind of a new software yesterday, Maxivision, which seems like it could be cool. I’d be able to use an extra laptop as a second display, instead of getting a suntan from my CRT. So I download the software and install the trial version…not bad, but what I *wanted* to do was use Remote Desktop Connection from one laptop to connect to my big machine (thereby removing the CRT entirely) and have the Maxivision software function normally between the two laptops. no dice. Apparently, when the main “serving” machine receives the remote desktop connection, it tweaks (or more precisely, halts) the application. I figured it could be a function of the “Trial Version” so I went on a hunt for the “de-trial-izer”…all I’ve gotten so far is a bunch of malware and spyware installed. Sigh. Any ideas? I would love to be able to use some of the slower laptops I have lying around as secondary/tertiary displays.
